Let me tell you, this transfer has been one heck of a ride! Sister Briscoe sprained her right ankle last week! So now we're gippy and skippy. At least we have a set of working legs together!
I got my MRI results and there's no fracture or tear. Just a lot of fluid built up. I might have to go get some shots for the pain, but it looks like I'll be in the brace another 60 days. Hey, at least I can walk!
We got a new investigator, Taio! Last transfer, he randomly walked into church and said he looked us up online. He'll come and stay for the first hour, but we finally got him to stay all 3 hours! We haven't had an official lesson with him, but we taught the first lesson in Gospel Principles.
We had a zone activity today! Zone Olympics! We participated as much as possible. I did win an activity where we had to eat a doughnut off a string blindfolded!
I know the Lord is in all things. Sometimes stuff happens that we don't understand, but He has a purpose.
Have a great week! Love and miss y'all!
1. Alicia's dog, Chowder. So cute!
3. Sister Briscoe and I volunteering at a tea party for pregnancy research
4. Playing Zone olympics
I KNOW I'm biased, but aren't these two just beautiful?!?!?!? :)
This last picture was on the California Arcadia Mission Facebook page. It was Hermana Buer's birthday. "Thanks to all the missionaries that surprised my daughter, Hermana Kirsten Buer with silly string, balloons, a happy birthday sign and cake at the end of their zone activity today. She loved it! FYI, she is serving in El Monte."
This transfer has been an adventure. We've been all over the place! Sis Briscoe has a fake tooth and it FELL OFF! I screamed so loud! But she's all good now. We went to the dentist and all is well. Now I get to go to the doctor again about my foot! Hopefully it'll be alright. Keep the prayers coming! I really appreciate it!
So, we've been trying to do a lot more finding. We have great Investigators though! Every Friday we go to the street fair here. It's really awesome! Sometimes we get a few people who like to Bible bash, but everyone's a child of God. I'll send some pictures next week!
The Napotniks have been super busy. So has Maggie. Melody is still rocking! Satan kinda stinks sometimes, but faith in Christ triumphs every single time.
A big pick me up was this cute little cat who kind of followed us a few yards. It was super friendly! It was really rainy this weekend and I'm not used to cold weather anymore! Notice my Idaho coat :P we named him Jeffrey.
Hope y'all have a great week! Shout out to the best mom ever! I know that mothers are so special and they have a great influence on people! Love y'all!
